Happy Valentine's Day

Since its still technically the month of February, I feel I am not too late to post Brooke & Tyler's Valentine's Day Pictures!

Don't ask my why, but Tyler wanted to wear this hat...honestly :)

I wonder how long Brooke will be willing to give her brother a kiss on the check without having to be bribed by cookies or candy??

Tyler turns 7 Months Old Today!

Yeah Tyler is 7 months old!  He is such a happy, hungry guy.  I specifically emphasise the hungry as he was up every two hours again last night hungry! (9:00, 11:00, 1:00, 3:00, 5:00...whew now that one hungry guy, and one sleepy mommy!)  He is also getting really good about moving all over the place.  One of Tyler's favorite things to chase around the floor is balloons, and Shelly.  Shelly is pretty tolerant, as Tyler loves pulling her hair.  We are also slowly continuing to introduce him to different kinds of baby food. He seems to tolerate peaches, pears, bananas and sweet potatoes, but seems to like just milk and cereal the best.

We still talk about how spoiled we were with Brooke sleeping through the night at 10 weeks.  Maybe tonight will be the night for Tyler!?!?  He takes about 2 naps a day about 30 min around 9 a.m. and about 2 hours around noon.  Besides his many times of waking to eat he is going to bed around 8 and gets up for the day around 7 a.m.  Brooke's is on a very similar schedule only she sleeps straight from 8 p.m.  to 7 a.m., and can take about a 2 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon!

Papa and Bubby (Brooke has finally decided on a name for Grandma!) were up this weekend to help celebrate Tyler's month day!

Since I had a few minutes before work this morning, I loved these pictures, and couldn't wait till Wednesday (Plus I haven't been very good about posting pics Wednesday).  You get "a few word Tuesdsay" :)  Enjoy!

Happy 31 Month Birthday Brooke

Brooke "celebrated" her 31 month birthday today.  Unfortunately, it wasn't one of her better month birthdays, as she got a diagnostic of pneumonia at the Dr. office.  She was "kick out" of daycare on Wednesday for a really deep cough, and a fever, plus she just looked so exhausted.  We found out another child was sent home as well and reported to have strep, so we figured we better get her in to the doctor as soon as possible today.  I am so glad we did as they determined she actually had pneumonia instead of strep. They put her on a z-pack to help kick this thing out of her system as quick as possible. (If it wasn't for the report of the other kid we may have tried to let her get better own her own without taking her in just yet, so its definitely a blessing in disguise.)

She is doing much better tonight, and actually ate some dinner & drank her milk!  We had very little success of getting her to drink anything yesterday.  She even refused a pop pop (aka popsicle), which was very unheard of.

In other news Brooke has finally started saying "Grandma!"  However, it sounds a little bit more like "umbrella" to me.  She tries to mimic the way she thinks she heard Emi say it, and as I said it sounds like umbrella to me.  However, I don't think either grandma is complaining, because as far as I can tell anything is better than her previous "Not the Papa!"

Well I am off to bed, as this may be another long night of waking up many times with the kiddos!

This is also the first "month pictures shots" I can't take credit for as Nick was home with Brooke today, and took them!

I love how much these two adore each other.  Hopefully, I can remind them of this day when they are teenagers!

Brooke has volunteered to help train Shelly!  I am sure she will be behaving like a perfect little angel in no time! (Brooke that is, I think we have given on Shelly!)

Forward Movement

Tyler still isn't great a sitting, but that's strictly because its too boring to sit in one spot!  He is constantly trying to go after everything nearby!

At 6 1/2 months old, we have some forward movement.  Tyler will be cruising all over the house before we know its.  This is quite a change from Brooke, who was not only very content with sitting in one spot playing with the toys given to her, she actually learned it was easier to pull on the blanket to pull the toys closer than try moving herself to get them.  Brooke started crawling at about 10 months old.   Brooke was so mellow with her moving, we never really needed baby gates.  I am guessing that's not going to be the case with Tyler!  The trick will be getting the really secure gates, as I am sure he will just knock over the wooden ones.
