29 Years Old!

May 17th I celebrated my 29th birthday! I think I might just be 29 for a few more years :) It was great celebrating my birthday in Bellbrook with the family. I can't remember the last time it actually worked out for me to be in-town.


Nick surprised me with some beautiful flowers.

And got rewarded with a kiss...

Our "little" family!

Emilee decided to help with blowing out the candles.... Ice cream cake is my absolute favorite! This one had a chocolate ice cream bottom, raspberry on top, and was surrounded with vanilla ice cream! Too bad it would melt in the car, and we couldn't take the leftovers home with us!

Emilee also helped with opening the presents. Nick decided to take a nice little nap. I guess he was still recovering from Bob's bachelor party the night before.

Tara went ahead and painted everyone's toe nails in bright pink!

I'm not sure if this bench is really made to take this much weight! However, it some how managed to survive the picture :)

Cincinnati Baby Shower

My mother-in-law, Joyce, threw a fantastic baby shower for me down in Cincy this past weekend!





I received lots, and lots of wonderful gifts, including this little hand made sweater from my sister, Lea. I really appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness!

Nick is modeling the "diaper" cake that Tara made for the party. There is a layer of nipple pads, disposible diapers, wipes, cotton diapers, and topped with a container of "butt" cream :). There were also little baby hair bows around for decoration. How creative!!

Thanks again for the wonderful time hanging out with my family and friends!

The Basement is Finished!!!

Its hard to believe we are finally at a point in the basement when we can call it finished!!

Below you will see the walls are painted, and trim work is all finished.
The bar is stained, travertine tile, and counter tops grouted and sealed.

The book case is all painted, and glass shelves completed.

Even the projector is hung from the ceiling and ready to go!

Now for some new carpeting, and nice thick padding.

We decided to go with a nice neutral color of tan for the carpeting.
Finally time to start moving down the new couches!!

Here it is the finished basement!! Down the stairs with all the molding...

Hallway...the workout room, and bathroom are on the left, and main room to the right.

The bathroom is completed with a working shower and toilet!

Too bad they screwed up the delivery on the couches...we ordered the chocolate brown (chair), but we were provided the tan brown for the love seat. Also, it turned out the full size couch wouldn't fit through the door way, so we have two new love seats, which will be delivered in a few weeks.

Check out the new bar, already stocked and ready for company!

There is lots of room for Shelly to run in the room!

The guest room / spare room, just needs furniture moved in....and some guests!

Finally time to kick back and watch a movie!

Toledo Baby Shower

Carolyn hosted my Toledo Baby Shower, and it absolutely rocked! It was such a great time hanging out with friends and celebrating this little growing baby.

Carolyn did an amazing job with the decorations!

A Flower Pot made of baby bibs, and onesies....

The table was decorated with "bun in the oven" and rice crispy treats shaped like baby rattles.
She also made two very nice pictures / sayings for the baby's room. "A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, the future worth living for."

"Father in heaven hear my prayer. Keep me in thy loving care. Be my guide in all I do. Bless all those who love me too."

Well in case anyone is wondering what our little baby girl is going to look like. You just need to merge these two pictures into one :) It will be fun to see, which features she ends up getting from each of us. Bottom line she is bound for some cute cubby checks!
