Tyler is 2 Months Old
Yeah Tyler is 2 months old today! Yes, yes time just flies by. He decided to celebrate the day by sleeping 5 1/2 hrs in a row last night!! I think this is the longest I have slept in a row in over 4 months.
Based on our scale he appears to be up to 13.4 lbs, which according to the babycenter.com this puts him in the 50-75%. We will see what he weighs in this Friday at his 2 month doctor's appointment. (Brooke was 10.9 lbs or 25-50%). Tyler is already outgrowing some of his 3 month clothes, and fits great in his 3-6 month outfits. Once again a big change from Brooke so was always late to move up sizes.
We would also say he is still in "sleepy stage", as it seems he really doesn't have much awake time. Here is an example of his schedule today. (From 7am - 5pm are the notes from Miss T.) At daycare he is right now taking bottles between 3.5 to 5 oz at a time, and nursing when at home.
10:15 p.m. - 3:45 a.m. Sleep
3:45 a.m. eat
4:15 - 6:15 a.m. Sleep

10:05 p.m. ...will be time to feed him again!! Hopefully he sleeps as well tonight!
Over 16 hours of sleep today! Its a lot of work growing :)
And finally here are his 2 month pictures!

Tyler's First Day of School
Today was Tyler's 8 week birthday & therefore also my first day of work. Boo hoo! :(
Tyler was in a very positive mood this morning for his big day. I also did pretty good if I say so myself with only a few tears when I dropped him off.
However, it broke my heart when I picked him up to hear he had a tough day. He didn't do well on his naps, and sounded like he was pretty fussy all day. Unfortunately, he does sleep a lot in my arms during the day, and likes to be swaddled at night. Per state law, daycares are not allowed to have blankets in cribs, so no swaddling. He did however do a good job eating, and burping. Miss T. reassured me that it will probably take some time for him to adjust, but I don't remember hearing Brooke was fussy on her first days, so it definitely hurts.
Here are his pictures before daycare. Of course, he is currently sleeping in his car seat right now!

Brooke coordinated her outfit with him!

Brooke is 26 Months Old
26 Months old! So far I haven't missed a month picture...now the trick will be to remember every 8th & 19th of each month! I need to set an alarm on my phone or something :)
Brooke was being pretty goofy during her pictures. The pictures were taken in the morning, since she wakes up in such a great mood.
We checked her weight this morning, 26.6 lbs, and started marking her height on her bookcase, 31.5". This height means her total height is estimated at 5 ft 3"! Only 1" shorter than her mama.
Brooke has continued with a pretty funny game to drive her Grandma's crazy! She is willing to try and say any word you ask her to, besides "Grandma". When looking in her picture book she will point out everyone including "Pa Pa" for Grandpa, but when you point to a picture of one of her Grandma's, and ask here who that is she just says "no" and laughs. (Little stinker) It definitely has nothing to do with how much fun she has with her Grandma's. She has an absolute blast and loves them both. We think its due to the fact when she was really young, and they kept trying to get her to say it. Nick even asked Brooke on the last trip, if she would run up to Grandma when we saw her and say "Hi Grandma!". Brooke's response was "Daddy Silly". Well Grandma, I don't know what to telling you besides the fact Brooke is now practicing saying "Xylophone & Stethoscope" :)
We are also having fun learning "Brooke language". Here are a few examples:
B = Binkie
AB's = Brushing Your Teeth (Since we sing the ABC's each time)
Vita = Vitamin (She loves her Flinstones, especially the purple ones!) Purple is now her favorite color for everything!
Pop Pop = Popsicle
Myself = You won't get me to do this, unless you let me try to do it by myself first!
This One = Brooke checking to see if she is putting her shoe on the right foot. For some reason her first try to never right!?!?
Other B = She must always have two B's to sleep with at night, one for her mouth & one to twiddle in her fingers.
Madi = Her best friend at daycare. No problem convincing her to go each morning if you remind her she will get to see Madi!
Abee = Abby Bib she would like to wear.
Yo Yo = Yogurt. She loves eating Greek yogurt for breakfast!

Sleepy Sunday
In order to preserve Wordless Wednesday, I am trying to create a Sleepy Sunday. However, I am finding it harder than I thought to remember to post the pictures on Sunday. Please note that all pictures of Brooke are completely natural. Meaning, we are not putting her in any of the poses, but just checking in on her before we head to bed each night! Good thing she has such a big bed, and is able to flip into all these funny positions! However, unlike Wordless Wednesday, I have full rights to be able to describe the the sleeping pictures :)
This picture is like "Where's Waldo?"...Where is Tyler hidden in all the laundry?

Labor Day Weekend Fun
Here are a few of our pictures from our fun Labor Day weekend with the family!
Grandpa, Baby T & Shelly! I don't think that chair could be any more cozzy.

Eliza & Brooke reading a book! One of Brooke's favorite things to do.
Baby Clayton...look how big he is getting!
Grandma & Baby Tyler.
Brooke trying to teach Emi a few coloring techniques. (or is Emi teaching Brooke ??)
Hoping for a cute picture of the two boys. Tyler wasn't very thrilled about the idea.
The picture worked much better with a few mama's added.
Brooke teaching her teddy how to use the potty. She was really shocked, when she check, and he did actually go potty. (Hopefully, we didn't confuse the situation when Grandma added a little water to the potty when Brooke wasn't looking....too funny!)
Then after all our fun it was time to head home! We can't wait to go visit again soon.
