Introducting Clayton Dewayne Barker!
Nick, Brooke, Shelly & I travelled down to Cincy & Dayton this past weekend, so we could spend some time with our families, and meet little Clayton Barker. Due to busy schedules, and various different colds we haven't been down since Christmas. We were well over due for a visit, and fortunately we were finally all healthy!!
It's amazing how quickly you forget how "floppy" and tiny new born babies are. Clayton was born March 6th, weighing 6 lbs 11 oz, and 19" long. He was about 2 1/2 week early as his official due date was today, March 21st.
Its was very convenient having the "baby bump" to rest him on while holding him!

Aunt Lea & little Clayton...Tara is very lucky to have Lea so close by for visits during the week to help out! I know I will be very jealous when my little baby is here!

Here is a picture of the 5 cousins (grandchildren)! This was the best picture I got of all of them...and I am guessing no one else did better with them all looking at the camera. It will be fun getting pictures of them each year all together and watching them grow!

20/20 Special!
20/20 Special this week! 20 weeks & 20 months!
So far this pregnancy has continued to go relatively smoothly. The only real challenges are the fact I can't lay around like last time as I have a little kiddo to take care of. Plus she has brought home a few different bugs from daycare she decided to pass along to her mommy.
Other than the occasional bug, I was excited to get back my second round of blood work showing I was in the low risk category for everything checked, and the ultrasound looked perfectly healthy!
Brooke also turned 20 months old this week! She absolutely refused to smile for me until I provided her with a pool ball to play with. (I think she is getting tired of my "sign pictures.")
However, if all it takes is a shinny pool ball to play with...I'm game!

Brooke is still a pretty good eater, and normally favors what ever food you have on your plate...unless there is ravioli on hers! She still hasn't made it up to 22 lbs, and continues to stay around 21.

She also got her first bad report card from daycare! Apparently, she wasn't listening during story time, and wanted to go play with toys instead. (Hmm...not really sure how I feel about this, but I guess you need to start teaching them a lesson at some time.) She had to sit in time-out, and didn't get her treat after lunch time that day. However, when I picked her up in the afternoon she didn't seem very upset, as she had her typical "peak a boo" I am so excited to see you smile on her face. She also thinks its a lot of fun to come give you a hug when you arrive to pick her up, and then run away so Miss T has to catch her.
We still try to keep a few empty boxes lying around the house, as she will randomly climb inside, and hope someone decides to push her around the house!
