6 Month Professional Pictures
I am super happy with Tyler's 6 month pictures! I still like getting the "posed" pictures for the kids milestone birthdays. One day I would like to use a photographer for those more "natural" outdoor / artsy pictures, but these work for now. I was not impressed with Tyler's 3 month pictures from JC Penny, and decided to do the drive to Portrait Innovations for these. It was well worth the drive. Instead of waiting 40 minutes to get started, the photographer was ready for us the second we walked in. The studios are twice the size, and not hot and stuffy, plus there are two people working. One to take pictures, and one to make the little guy smile & laugh.
Tyler was in a great mood, and we really didn't get any "out take shots"! Also, the bonus is they don't charge extra for an additional person. I just wish I would have brushed Brooke's hair better, but I wasn't really planning on getting her picture taken. Here are just a "few" of my favorites! They took 70 pictures total (versus the ~20 taken at JCP).
The only really good "out take" picture they got, and it was because Brooke really didn't want to smile at first.

Tyler is 6 Months Old!!
Our little man is now 1/2 a year old! We have really enjoyed every moment these past 6 months getting to know the little guy. It's so fun watching him learn to do new things, and think about how different our two kids are. 1) Brooke was sleeping through the night at like 10 weeks old, Tyler still eats about every 5 hours in the evening; 8:00 p.m., 1:00 a.m, 6 a.m. and every 3-4 hour throughout the days. 2) Brooke was getting really good a sitting, however Tyler you can't keep his interest in one spot, so he is always falling over trying to grab something. 3) Brooke was great at rolling from her tummy to her back, Tyler loves being on his tummy and hardly lays on his back.
There are many more things both different & similar between the two, however the most fortunately similar trait is how health and happy they are!
We head to the Dr. this week for Tyler's 6 month check up & shots, so I will get an update on his official stats. Tyler is also doing excellent at eating cereal and has added it to his diet about twice a day.
Here are Tyler (aka Baby T, aka Short Bald Guy's) pictures!
Once again, I had a hard time getting him to sit, as he just wanted to be on his tummy.
Brooke also really wanted to be in the chair pictures with him, and its hard to stop her and take pictures :)
Check out his fancy matching monkey shoes!

Funny Moments
I just thought these kids were so funny! They were actually laughing harder before I got the camera, but still thought this was pretty cute.

Happy Birthday Daddy! (aka Nick)
Happy Birthday to my wonderful Hubby! I can't say his 32nd Birthday was his craziest one, but I am sure it was a very special one. It was his first birthday with two kiddos! What can be better than that?
We even got do do a date night on Nick's birthday this year. Miss Missa came over to watch the kids for the evening. Missa is Miss T's daughter, and helps take care of the kids a few days during the week. This was actually the first time we had a babysitter over to the house! It obviously wasn't too stressful, as we completely trusted Missa, and knew the kids loved her. It was a surprise having Missa over, and was fun that Nick found out the surprise when he picked up the kids that night, and Brooke kept saying "Missa come to my house, Missa come to my house!"
We celebrated with a small chocolate ice cream cake...mmm....mmm.
Brooke was great at singing Happy Birthday Daddy.
Both kids were happy to help blow out the candle!
Brooke loved the ice cream cake! The bonus about ice cream cake is NO egg!
Brooke and Tyler were both more than happy to help daddy open up all his presents.

I have had to resort to calling my husband "daddy" around the house. Whenever I call him "Nick", Brooke starts going "Nick Daddy!, Nick Daddy!" Pretty funny!
P.S. I have finally figured out how to record the videos in small size files, so I can finally start uploading them again!! Woo Hoo

Baby T Update!
Boy is our "little" man growing, growing, growing! He will be 6 months old in a few days, and fits perfectly in his 9 month clothing! This is a complete change from Brooke, as she seemed to always be a little behind in the sizes. In other words, she was probably the opposite and could still fit in her 6 months clothing at 9 months!
Fortunately, Tyler is great at eating cereal! He actually slept two nights in a row for 10 hours! Whew Hoo! Every other night since then he has been back to his typically eating every 4 hours, but at least this shows there is hope out there!
Did I mention how much he liked it? Check out that tongue :p

Now the real question is why I have been updating this blog for the last hour instead of heading off to bed early!??!?! Nite, Nite!
Two and a half years old!
Well time is just flying by! Even quicker with two kiddos! Brooke was very happy to tell everyone it was her birthday! Good thing she has these "birthdays" so often she doesn't actually expect presents every time.
This month the trick was letting her play with her dreidels for the pictures.
Not only is Brooke getting really good with her flash cards. She is teaching them to her baby as well.
Look how grown up our little girl is getting! It also looks like Brooke's eyes may be changing from blue to green so she can match mommy!! Yeah!

We still haven't figured out our strategy on how to break her of her "Bs". However, in the meantime she is learning new tricks with them.
"Emi do this, Emi do this". Hi Emi! Brooke can't wait to see you soon!!
A Day at the Museum
Right before the end of the year we spent a day at the Cincy Museums. It's three museums in one! (Cincinnati History Museum, Museum of Natural History and Science and the Cinergy Children's Museum.
Here are a few of the pictures from our adventure!
Baby T & Grandma waiting for Daddy & Grandpa to purchase tickets.
Brooke checking out the dinosaurs.
Working on her building skills....
To get daddy wet or not...now that's the question...
I loved this very typical "museum" shot!

Visit to the Pool
We decided as Tyler turns 6 months old this week its about time we tried him out at the pool.
The little man had no fear as he "walked" right in.
The whole time we were in the water he was a very content, happy guy. Looks like we have a water baby on our hands. Much different than Brooke, who had to be very, very slowly introduced to it.
Brooke is getting much better, however still holds a very tight grip to the person she is "swimming" with.
Check out that form! I think he will be ready to swim by himself next time!
