Happy Birthday Brooke!

Well as most people say, the time just flies by when you have kids! Two years ago, our world changed, as we were blessed with such an amazing little kiddo. She definitely lightens up any rooms she enters. Here we thought we would be teaching her so much these first two years, and in reality she has actually taught us so much. How to appreciate all the little things in life, stop and be fascinated by the simplest little things, patience, patience, patience, and just in general how special life really is.

Some of her favorite things include; playing outside with her buddies, taking her puppy for a walk, reading as much books as possible at night time, bubbles, babies, ravioli, milk & of course her bink.

Some of her dislikes include; cake & ice cream (I know it very crazy with me as a mom & the 5+ flavors in the freezer!), too many puppy kisses at once, playing in the water (she is getting better, but not nearly as excited as most kids!), the "wrong outfit, or shoes" (she is very, very insistent in picking out her clothes & shoes each morning.).

We had a wonderful time celebrating her birthday. Nothing too crazy, but lots of fun spending quality time with a little girl!

She brought in cupcakes to daycare for her birthday. (Nice egg free recipe, which actually tasted pretty good.)

It was challenging as usual to get her sign pictures, but this month all we needed was a bag of straws to distract her with and get her to smile! Who would have guessed the best toys include large boxes & a bag of straws!?!?

A big birthday hug from dada!

And a big hug from mama...I guess a big belly to go with it too!

Brooke was very excited to get a B. I. B. (Brooke Isabella Buchman) from our friends Carolyn & Jay!

And I made her a very special Elmo cake! Once again without egg, however she really only wanted to lick the icing. O'well. It was still fun to make, and nice to know she could have eaten it if she wanted to!

She loved sticking her finger in Elmo's nose!

Then it was off to open presents with Grandma & Grandpa S, who came up to visit for the weekend!

A new silly towel for bath time!

Happy, Happy Birthday to our little girl! The last two years have been a blast, and we can't wait to see what the future ones will bring!

You made such a cute kid! Good luck with your fashionista, it's a small battle almost everyday with mine. (Things like, "no, you may not wear just your hot pink underwear today" and "snowboots are a bit of overkill during the summer")
