This past weekend we traveled down to
Cincy & Dayton, OH. We spent Saturday afternoon at the
Butterfly Show at the
Krohn Conservatory. Here are some of my favorite pictures.
We started off the adventure with Brooke throwing a penny into the wishing pond. (Actually, it took some pretty good
convincing to try to get her to give up the bright shinny penny given to her by Grandma!)

There were so many
exotic and beautiful flowers, I didn't even come close to getting pictures which represented how pretty they were.

Attempt #1 at having Brooke hold a butterfly. Lets just say it ended with Brooke squashing the wings, mommy screaming, and Brooke crying...oops. Better luck next time!

Attempt #2 with holding a butterfly. This time I though I would lightly place the butterfly on the top of Brooke's hand..therefore
eliminating the option of squashing the wings....

Attempt #2 wasn't any more successful, as Brooke freaked out, and rubbed the butterfly off. (At least mommy didn't scream this time.) In both cases, the butterflies did survive the ordeal, and we decided we wouldn't try for a third attempt.

We decided to spend the rest of the time admiring the butterflies from a distance and the amazing plants on display!
