Basement status

As many of you know Nick and I (more Nick) have been working on finishing the basement. I though it would be a great time to bring everyone up to speed with where we are at with the project. Of course starting at the beginning.

Here is the start of the project!! (Sept 26, 2008)

First Step. Saw through the pavement to move the plumbing for the bathroom.

Starting to cut the stud walls......and now they are done!

Next is the electrical & plumbing....including adding in a new shower / tub combo.

Time to finally start laying the dry wall. Starting with the ceiling.

Now for lots of mudding and sanding the walls!

Time to start painting! Too bad it took us 5 tries to find a color we liked.

Adding some nice tile to the bathroom.

Nick did a great job in building the bathroom vanity, so it was the perfect design I wanted!

Here we are today! Working on the bar and bookcase...
